“An experience of such perceptual vastness you literally have to reconfigure your mental models of the world to assimilate it” – Jason Silva
Who are you?
You are an awe inspiring individual and when Jason Silva says, “Cracked open with Awe,” that’s what you do for me and for the world. We are a sum total of all are beliefs, good and bad. It’s based on the story we tell ourselves about ourselves, which on paper isn’t always true. We are not our jobs, cars, homes, bank accounts, we are not even our spouses, kids, or friends. We are not addicts, alcoholics, we are not anxious, worriers, sad, or depressed. Eckhart Tolle says, “You are the universe expressing itself as a human for a little while.” You are inexplicable beauty, love, light, truth, and joy.
Joy is our natural state and we experience this when we live in the present moment – now. The past is gone forever and the future hasn’t happened yet, so all we have is now and when we live in the now, the Universe answers with pinpoint precision and a manifestation of our completeness. Carl Sagan says, “We are made of starstuff.” “Every one of us is, in the cosmic perspective, precious. If a human disagrees with you, let him live. In a hundred billion galaxies, you will not find another.”
You are magnificent! Gunilla Norris said, “Within each of us, there is a silence, a silence as vast as the Universe. And when we experience that silence, we remember who we are.” You are greatness in motion. When you pinpoint your attention on this mathematical fact, you discover what you already knew as a child. Greatness is not some rare DNA strand that only a few of us possess. It’s not an illusion or some mystical concept that eludes us at every turn. It flourishes in your awareness of who you really are. Some people say they were born with it, others tell themselves.
Check out this quote…
“There are no ordinary people. You have never talked to a mere mortal. Nations, cultures, arts, civilizations – these are mortal, and their life is to ours as the life of a gnat. But it is immortals whom we joke with, work with, marry, snub and exploit…
“It is a serious thing to live in a society of possible gods and goddesses, to remember that the dullest most uninteresting person you can talk to may one day be a creature which, if you saw it now, you would be strongly tempted to worship…”
“It is in the light of these overwhelming possibilities, it is with the awe and the circumspection proper to them, that we should conduct all of our dealings with one another, all friendships, all loves, all play, all politics. There are no ordinary people.
― C.S. Lewis, The Weight of Glory
You are Powerful Beyond Measure!
When we experience a birth of a new belief system you experience something amazing that is hard to describe. We are filled with awe and indescribable joy! We laugh as we try to explain what we are feeling.
There is no high like it!
As we make positive choices, and we begin to see creations that grow from those choices, we soon see that we are POWERFUL.
As a culture (and especially as “addicts”), we are taught that we are weak and powerless. But when we learn to see the small pieces of evidence in our lives, we also learn that we are more powerful than we can even comprehend.
YOU have the power over your own life. You, and you alone have the power to create the world around you. You don’t have to wait for anyone to rescue you – your inner being holds the power to create anything you want and need.
When you CHOOSE to not listen to the Bully (the voice that says you aren’t enough), you CREATE thoughts, feelings, and circumstances that make you POWERFUL.
Never forget! Never forget that YOU are more powerful than your problems. You are more powerful than your addictions! Remember that when you quiet the mind, you become aware that you have all that you need and boundaries of self are fictional. There is nothing to fear because you are light and you are love, the most powerful weapons of the soul.
I love living and I love my life. Life is beautiful and so are you. Enjoy your life and love who you are! Fall in love with your life. Be grateful for every beautiful aspect of your existence. It’s the best feeling ever! Don’t give up, don’t ever give up! Oh, and remember – there is nothing wrong with you!
